বছর সতেরোর এক কিশোরের করা ফেসবুক পোস্ট, আর সেই পোস্টে থাকা ধর্মীয় বিদ্বেষমূলক অশালীন এক কার্টুন, মুহুর্তের মধ্যে সংখ্যালঘু সম্প্রদায়ের একটি অংশে ঘনীভূত করে দিল ক্ষোভের কালো মেঘ। শুরু হয়ে গেল উত্তর ২৪ পরগণার বিস্তীর্ণ অঞ্চল (বাদুড়িয়া, বসিরহাট ইত্যাদি) জুড়ে ক্ষোভ-বিক্ষোভ অবরোধ। উঠে আসল গণহত্যার অভিযোগ। এই ঘটনা চোখে আঙ্গুল দিয়ে দেখিয়ে দেয় অসহিষ্ণু মানসিকতার কোন স্তরে অবস্থান আমাদের।

Bhatpara Fact-finding Report (2018-2020)
Bhatpara, is one of the most prominent names in the existing map of communal conflict in West Bengal. Over the years through various published and unpublished studies AAMRA has noted that Jute-mill led settlements along the river Hooghly is quite prone to communal polarisation and identity – led conflicts. This is a longitudinal study of exploring the identity consolidation in and around Bhatpara region through a series of fieldworks. This study unravels the complex politics-identity interface through intensive study of facts and artefacts. We have intentionally kept some of the raw nature of the data as there are more inconclusive questions than the answer to what happened in Bhatpara over the years. There are multiple narratives, perspectives and dimensions of each of the phenomena that have rocked the political and everyday spectrum of West Bengal.

Fact Finding Report on Telinipara Communal Violence (2020)
The communal violence in Telinipara in Hooghly district of West Bengal occurred amidst the raging pandemic during the lockdown in early May 2020. We can call this violence as, ‘Communalism in the time of Pandemic’. Everyone knows there were unrest, conflict and communal violence. But what actually happened in Telinipara? What triggered the violence and what is its immediate and far-reaching effect?
